The transdisciplinary approach, through which we look at the phenomena forming the topics of applied linguistics, is an approach that seeks to break the boundaries between the curricula and cross through them all to grasp the essence of the phenomena and treat them in their total form without compromising the overall nature of the phenomena and without prejudice to the unity of knowledge.

applied linguistics is a guiding model for looking at linguistic phenomena and their relationship to language users, a view that goes beyond reduction and simplification to complexity and structure.
