The research paper aimed to shed light on the current stage of Islamic banking in Algeria in order to analyze the steps and procedures for its application in the Algerian economy after law 20-02, which is the actual starting point for it, and after our presentation and discussion of the law in terms of its pros and cons, which we worked to remedy through the proposed recommendations we concluded that Islamic banking was not popular in its inception due to the current situation represented by the COVID 19 epidemic, which issued news and attention to individuals with the implementation of the protocol to limit its spread, but this factor will not be an obstacle in the future as it is not permanent, so laws must be issued other complementary ones so that Islamic banking can be practiced, such as its financial and accounting system, as well as the establishment of a supervisory and legislative body, and intensive work on promoting and educating members of society and establishing legitimate bodies that bring the citizen closer to the bank by answering his inquiries and concerns.
