Abstract EN

This study aims to discover the reality of the social sciences and humanities in the universities of western Algeria, and to answer a number of questions related to the global contribution of scientific research in the fields of social sciences and humanities in Algerian universities from the point of view of teachers.

to test the hypotheses, we established questionnaire (39-paragraph), which was applied to a sample of (100) teachers.

the results of the study showed that there is a relatively negative view of the social sciences among the teachers of universities in Western Algeria, where the reality of the social sciences and humanities is deplorable .

and they recognize that the status of social science is weak and not recognized by society.

the results also showed that scientific research in the social sciences and humanities helps to enrich scientific research.

the absence of statistically significant differences in estimating the reality and contributions of scientific research in the social and human sciences in Algerian universities from the perspective of the faculty attributed to the factor of experience.
