Algerian cultural heritage has drawn the attention of theorists to the French occupation in Algeria, in particular to the oral tradition, as a means and tool for communicating with emerging society and getting its messages and programs across, following the studies and research carried out on the Algerian cultural heritage by the orientalists.

from military orientalism to academic orientalism and its subjects as well, interest in birthdays, folklore, local poetry and poem, in addition to interest in local dialects such as kabyle, tarqiyya and others.
