Western and Arab critical studies have focused on the text thresholds for their importance in understanding, interpreting and interpreting the textual body: because they are gates of transit to architecture of the text, these thresholds that surround the text and fence it illuminate the way for the recipient to dive deep into the text and exract its essence.

in this research paper, we will try to shed light on the text thresholds in Bachir al-Mufti’s novel "mixing the seasons", the study aims interrogate the thresholds and find out their relationship with the mains textual body, by using the semiotic approach, and we will conclude this study with a set of results.
