Abstract EN

This study deals with the media interest of al-Najah newspaper in the living conditions of the Algerian people during the period (1924-1934), which was characterized by the catastrophic high cost of living and the spread of unemployment, famine, extreme poverty and the spread of diseases among them.

the obscenity of the Algerians through monopoly and speculation in consumer foodstuffs, and the newspaper held France responsible for the suffering of the Algerians during this period by turning its back on them, and its apparent bias towards the European settlers and supporting them with all the necessary privileges to establish their dominance over the wealth of the Algerian people and their enslavement.

on the other hand, she called on Algerians to cooperate and cooperate with each other to invest in agricultural and commercial projects, and to unite among themselves to fight poverty and diseases by activating the work of charitable societies, and encouraging the education of children so that they do not fall prey to the exploitation of merchants and settler capitalists.
