Abstract EN

This study aims to investigate Mefa'al metric measurement words in Prophetic Hadith to demonstrate its morpho-semantic contexts.

This study comes in an introduction, a preview, three sectionss, and a conclusion.

The introduction presents the issue of the citing Prophetic Hadith from a morpho-syntactic point of view.

The first section deals with exaggeration intensified lexical forms, while the second section discusses instrument noun words (known as A'alah nouns in Arabic).

Section three describes infinitive forms.

The study revealed that there was Mefa'al metric measurement in twenty-four: words in Prophetic Hadith, twelve of which were instrument nouns, six in exaggeration forms and six in Mi:m infinitives..

Most of the intensified forms came in abstract tripartite forms conforming to linguists’ views.

Instrument noun words occurred in transitive abstract tripartite verb forms as well.

The morphological implication of such forms was in conformity with the contextual meaning.

The study recommends that Prophetic Hadith should be a priority in morphological research.
