The study aims to explore the notion of belonging and the doubts surrounding it in Andalusian literature.

The study was divided into an introduction, a preface, and three sections.

The introduction defines the concept of belonging.

Section one focuses on the concept of belonging to the orient, while section two is concerned with belonging to Andalus.

Section three is devoted to Andalusian polarity.

The study adopted the historical method to trace the emergence of belonging in Andalusian literature.

The study concluded with the finding that proved the falsity of the saying ' orientalists underestimate all that relates to Andalus'.

Orientalists did aspire for Andalusian literature and its writers.

Andalusian polarity is the most appropriate case in describing the dualism of belonging in Andalusian literature.
