Abstract EN

This study aims to know the reality of the knowledge economy in Algeria, by relying on the evaluation of the most important indicators of the knowledge assessment methodology KAM, as an attempt to diagnose and understand the strengths and weaknesses in the field of knowledge economy in Algeria and compare it with some neighboring and Arab countries.

the study concluded that the reality of the knowledge economy in Algeria indicates that it has begun to focus its efforts towards adopting a new economic model based on knowledge, but its performance is still modest in terms of knowledge infrastructure.

indicators that have achieved positive results such as higher education enrollment rate, low illiteracy rates, and weak results, especially with regard to weak research, development and innovation outputs, and weak internet flow speed.
