This study aimed to highlight the components of the knowledge economy by relying on the global knowledge index, which is a measure of the knowledge performance of the countries of the world in seven areas, and then the comparison between the two countries : the united states of America and china, which are considered among the most reputable and famous countries in the world in the field of investment and attracting capital human and intellectual.

the study concluded that the developed countries, including the united states and china, worked to direct their economies towards reliance on knowledge through the development of human capital.

since the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic, dependence on this resource has become a major issue for these countries.
