تداعيات جائحة كورونا على النساء الحوامل في الجزائر : دراسة ميدانية مقارنة بين فترتين 2020-2021

Abstract EN

This intervention aims to present the results of a recent exploratory study on the impact of the Corona pandemic on pregnant women in Algeria.

Thus, our contribution revolves around the level of adaptation of this category of "fragile" women to exceptional circumstances: the fact that pregnancy is a magical but critical and constraining moment, as well as the general context resulting from the spread of Covid 19 virus, which has hit all forms of normal life hard, and which has claimed the lives of millions of people in record time.

Also, we focus on the type of discourse that this category develops around the disease (Covid 19), their knowledge of the risks and the behaviors to adopt in order to grasp the complexity of the reality of the impact of awareness-raising actions for the health on their behavior towards the circulation of the virus (Covid 19).

Through this research paper, we will present the results of a qualitative analysis of a number of targeted interviews with pregnant women during two different periods of the pandemic (early 2020 - 2021).

Our goal being to compare their experiences, we highlight the level of understanding and adoption of protective measures and the determinants of this adoption in a pandemic situation.
