Abstract EN

This article deals with the current legal regime of the fatwa and its domain in Algeria, after 60 years of her independence.

Knowing that at the level of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Wakfs the issuance of fatwas can be individual and limited to imams and religious mourchidates, it's also organised in a collective form, namely the Scientific Council of the Mosque Foundation and the Ministerial committee of fatwa.

But what we've been seeing lately is a kind of neglect of the Supreme Islamic Council, which is a constitutional religious advisory institution.
