Abstract EN

The aim of this study is to find out how physical violence and parental neglect affect psychological adjustment in a group of fifthyear students.

The study sample consisted of (200) male and female students, and the researcher used the Physical Abuse and Parental Neglect Scale, and the Psychological Adjustment Scale for children, after adapting them to the Algerian environment and the study sample.

After statistical treatment, the results of the study concluded that there is a relationship between physical abuse and parental neglect and the personal dimension among fifth year students, and there is a relationship between physical abuse and parental neglect and emotional dimension among fifth year students, and there is a relationship between physical abuse and parental neglect and family dimension among students of the fifth year.
