This study aims to highlight the importance of digital currencies in their various forms in contemporary financial and commercial transactions.

And the advantages that it enjoys, the first of which is that it is not affiliated with any supervisory, regulatory or supervisory authority.

This fact indicates the beginning of the end of the paper currency era and the trend towards issuing and investing in digital currencies, and in conjunction with that, the countries of the world are competing to precede the issuance of the first digital currency issued by central banks.

Central banks today are required to keep pace with these developments by issuing digital currencies that are under their supervision, monitoring and control over the mechanisms of their changes, because their issuance and circulation outside the official framework poses threats and risks to economic activity as well as the national security of countries.

This trend is afflicted by many challenges and obstacles that It makes the issuance process not an easy one, which requires central banks to carefully study before any country releases its digital currency, and perhaps the most important of them is the possibility that the issuance of such a currency will lead citizens to withdraw their deposits from banks at one time
