Algeria is working hard to improve the public service in general and preserve public money through the digitization of management and the use of modern technological means to activate the control process, especially in its financial institutions.

The public treasury is one of the most prominent public bodies of a financial nature that works to pay expenditures and collect general revenues.

In this regard, the article deals with the issue of digitizing the public treasury and its role in activating control over management expenses (a case study of the state treasury of Laghouat).

The study concluded that there is an effective and prominent role for the control of digitization at the level of the public treasury, since manual control costs time and effort, and errors abound, and by introducing digitization to the process of oversight A lot of effort was saved, errors were reduced to a minimum level, and the error was easily identified and corrected.

Defining the responsibilities of each agent interfering in the oversight process also contributed to this, which contributed to activating oversight at the level of the public treasury.
