Abstract EN

This study aims to research the relationship between foreign exchange reserves and imports in Algeria during the period from 1990 to 2020, and to achieve the objective of the study the relationship between foreign exchange reserves and imports in economic theories was addressed while showing the various stages of development experienced by the foreign exchange rate reserves and imports in Algeria, and conducting a standard study through the use of stability test for both Dicky Fuller and Phillips Peron and testing the two-border approach to joint integration and finally estimating Self-regression model of ARDL distributed time gaps.

The study found a common integration between Algeria's foreign exchange rate reserves and imports, through a calculated statistical value-F greater than the upper critical value at a significant level of 1.
