SME are an essential link in economic development, it compete for survival and continuity.

But during its activity it produces negative effects on the environment.

Due to the influence of pressure groups and the spread of environmental awareness, the company's commitment to the environment has become one of the criteria for its success.

Among the mechanisms that embody this commitment their adopting to the environmental management system, Because of its positive effects.

This is a huge challenge for its, on the one hand, due to its peculiarity, on the other hand, environmental management system requirements.

This study aims to shed light on the problem of environmental commitment in SME, especially when it wants to adopt the standard ISO14001.
