This study aims to identify encrypted virtual currencies, which is one of the most important innovations produced by modern technological progress in the field of financial and commercial transactions via the internet, and the study focused on local and international attitudes toward these currencies in addition to the risks and challenges facing their use.

in light of its anonymity and the absence of oversight and mediation, the study concluded that the adoption of encrypted virtual currencies leads to facing challenges and prominent risks in terms of society’s acceptance of what on the one hand and on the other hand may lack legal legitimacy, which prompted Algeria to take position of complete of encrypted currencies.
