Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the extent of the credibility of the reports of international organizations on education in the Sultanate of Oman, by relying on the deductive approach to suit the nature of the subject by describing the concepts contained in the study in an accurate scientific description, and collecting the largest amount of information about the subject of the study.

The results of the study showed that there are two contradictory views; From the first point of view, the reports are credible and trustworthy, and accordingly highlight the reality of the state of education in the Arab countries, for reasons related to the curricula, the teacher, the student, the school & the family, the educational philosophy and educational policies.

While the other point of view is that there is skepticism in the reports on education, lies in the problem of defining the standards on the basis of which countries are compared among each other.

There is also a hostile relationship between these organizations and countries, which may be a motive for organizations to hide some information, as well as questioning the methodology used by these reports and standards, related to the credibility of their results and the accuracy of the standards and indicators on which they depend in evaluating the performance of countries.

The study recommended several recommendations to supplement the educational field.
