The context is one of the most important aspects to be studied in the language, because of its importance in revealing the desired meaning, so we find the interest in context started early in the ancient Arabic linguistic studies, and this appeared in the form of terms such as: the case, and this was mentioned by grammarians and rhetoricians .

As for modern linguistic studies, the interest in context has developed more, so contextual theory appeared in Firth in the West, and Tammam Hassan transferred its ideas to contemporary Arabic linguistic studies, although in its basics it does not differ much from what was mentioned in the Arabic linguistic heritage of references to context.
