Abstract EN

The present study aims to reveal the differences in the development of writing skills depending to the levels of study ( the first, the second and the third year ) among Arabic speaking pupils.

The sample of the study consisted of 240 pupils aged between (6-8) years from the first primary stage.

The researcher used the test of: draw a man, writing and spelling test.

After the confirmation of the validity and the reliability of these tests, we applied the fundamental study.

The result were as follow: There are significant statistical differences in the development of writing skills depending to the levels of study ( the first, the second and the third year ) as it explained by Uta Frith model that sees that there are three types of strategies that the child must learn to be able to know the writing; this is the logographic and alphabetic and orthographic strategy.
