Relations between Yemen and the Ottoman Empire witnessed during the reign of the second Ottomans in Yemen, specifically during the reign of Imam Yahya and the Sultan Abdul Hamid II was a kind of political rapprochement, which was evident in the exchange of bilateral correspondences, delegations and envoys, with the aim of accomplishing missions whenever necessary, which applies to the delegation of Yemeni notables who headed to Istanbul during the year 1325 AH / 1907 AD, after completion of the necessary arrangements, which one of the members of the delegation, Ghamdan, was alone in writing down its events, and recording his observations during that trip.

The research problem revolves around the important moment in the history of Yemeni-Ottoman relations, which was groping its way to build trust between the two sides.

By peaceful means, away from the tools of military conflict and the historical value of the data of the trip, which provided a realistic picture of the Ottoman capital at the beginning of the twentieth century, by an eyewitness who witnessed the events and recorded them in a way that highlighted him as a historian and ethnographer at the same time.
