14 Law in Algeria continues to raise debate about its content and the necessity of amending it.

The current study aims to achieve a set of goals.

One most important goal is alert the legislator to the necessity of changing this law, which has been in practice for more than eight years without being useful.

The study also aims at presenting practical suggestions to organize the audiovisual sector for more professionalism that is based on Freedom of expression and rights of journalists.

The study revealed interesting results: Amendment of this law in accordance with the changes taking place in the country and finally the necessity of enacting a new law that expands the margin of freedoms and gives greater guarantees for the independence of media institutions.
