Handovers measures occupy great importance in the field of juvenile justice in all its forms, as they maintain the necessary family atmosphere for the formation of the child's personality on the one hand, and contribute to keeping the child away from the source of danger on the other hand.

The Algerian legislator has introduced a new mechanism in handovers measures that did not exist before, which is in handing over a child at risk to a family or trustworthy people in order to take over his care.

The subject of the study includes an analysis and critical reading of the entirety of the provisions of Executive Decree No.

19-70 that defines the conditions that must be met by the people and families to whom the task of care will be assigned, and how to organize comparative legislation for this issue, till suggesting new additions to the articles in which the inadequacies appear, or even the omission of organizing a certain matter in order to provide better protection and take into account the privacy of the child in the Algerian Muslim society.
