The nature of the activity of managing a portfolio of transferred values requires specialized knowledge, and specific experience from the managing broker, who usually deals with investors - beginners and professionals -, the relationship of the clientholding the portfolio whith the manager of its management is based on agency contracts and is in principle subject to the general rules governing these contracts, but their distinctive characteristics and special nature called for subjecting them to special rules embodied in laws, regulations and instructions related to the market of transferred values.
