Abstract EN

This study aims to know the extent of the contribution of the adoption of the environmental management system to achieving the green economy in Algeria.

And it concluded that the transition towards a green economy requires effective methods and mechanisms, among them is the adoption of EMS by obtaining the ISO14001 certification.

It was also concluded that the adoption of EMS in Algeria doesn't get enough attention, and It is still substandard, and that the success of adopting this model can only be achieved by providing the appropriate social, economic, cultural and legislative environment to activate it, in order to benefit from its advantages and contribute to the gradual transition towards a green economy.
