The term is the basis of any science and theory.

There are sciences whose terms have varied and branched out.

Although this diversity is a richness of the language and an increase in its stock, it is difficult for the researcher to control his research.

That is we notice in the critical term in general and narrative in particular.

This diversity caused difference to everyone who received these terms, so everyone translated them according to his cultural background, which resulted in a huge number of terms, most of which have the same meaning.

This led to a terminological chaos, where we find one term has many designations and concepts.

This caused difficulty for the receiver; What term does he take and which critiche follow? This is what we find in the term ''space'', which varied between: a place; Site; environment; Spatial space.

Thus, this paper seeks to address the problem of receiving the term space among Arab critics, and the multiplicity of terms corresponding to it.
