The aim of this study is show a phenomenon that invaded the Algerian narrative imagination because of the political crisis and the conflict and cultural hybridity that followed, which is embodied in the self-alienation of Allawa Koussa in his novel “Youcef's Wind”, which raises the problem of searching for the identity of the ego escaping from current reality's subjugation, taking the analytical descriptive approach as a ride to dissect the structure of the narrative text, and presenting the nature of alienation and the self and their manifestations, to conclude that the negative and insulting climate stems from emotional and existential charges, which the writer conveyed to his paper characters, especially the main character, considering that they are the nucleus of this dependence that has emerged from other patterns, including: social, spatial and linguistic.
