Abstract EN

The increase in the number of websites, including media websites, and the increase in the number of their audience, has led to the creation of new legal conditions created by these websites by publishing their media content, which results in a continuous increase in violations committed against others, which prompted us to state the rights and obligations of electronic media websites, and we have found that Responsibility revolves around many of the people in charge of it in light of their overlapping roles, and we have devoted the first section of this research to achieve this goal by clarifying the rights of electronic media sites, and we divided the section into five parts.

Opinion, expression and expressing criticism, and in the third the right to obtain information, and in the fourth the right of the electronic media site not to disclose its sources of information.

As for the last part of the first section, we devoted it to the right to guarantees of investigation and a fair trial.

As for the second section, we dealt with the obligations of electronic media websites by analyzing general legal rules.

And the special in the Egyptian and Jordanian legislation, and we divided it into two parts, namely, first: commitment Electronic media websites with registration and licensing in the Jordanian and Egyptian legal regulation, and secondly: the obligations of electronic media websites related to the content of the media content, and we reached a set of results and recommendations within the framework of a study based on a comparison between the Jordanian Press and Publication Law and the Egyptian press and media regulation law.
