Digital era and its consequences have greatly affected the Egyptian society and have also affected holding sound values such as tolerance, justice, social commitment, respecting cultural differences, positive criticism, giving and being truthful.

additionally, this digital era has affected on values of citizenship which is regarded as one of the most significant values for students because of being a part of his/her social, political life which are very pivotal in building societies.

also, in the light of the digital age, contemporary human and cultural values branching out from the principles of human rights such as citizenship, tolerance, peace, dialogue and acceptance of difference are among the most important modernist ideas and values that accompanied this era.

the digital age different in specifying a specific time for the beginning of its appearance, some believe that it began with the advent of personal computers, and others believe that it actually began with the advent of the internet, but everyone agreed on the extent of the impact of the digital age in our daily lives, whatever its beginning.

among the most important results of the study is that the technological development and the tremendous expansion in the use of its product is to gain new customs, cultures and knowledge, which resulted in abandoning some cultural, social and moral values of the national identity and the imitation of the western personality that works to obliterate the personality and the national identity of societies, and that the various activities practiced by social media users, whether they are cultural, social or artistic activities are one of the very important matters to find and develop social responsibility among young people and form a good citizen by implanting and developing social values and standards in them, and that with the emergence of digital education, the concept of digital citizenship appeared in return.
