''the awakening'' by the Algerian novelist Abd al-Rashid Hemisi is one of these works that presented clearly this feature.

was this inheritance able to be the novelist’s mean in achieving his goals and spreading his ideas ? this is what this article seeks to achieve by monitoring the most important manifestations of the folklore, and trying to reveal its role in building it semantic and aesthetically.

to conclude, the Soufi folklore was behind the intentional invocation which was to draw attention on the simple ways of life for the Sofi individual under the teachings of the presence of the Islamic religion and thus gave a positive effect on the construction of the novel.
