The tribe is considered an essential factor in the composition of the Libyan society, as it plays an effective role in bringing about political and social balances in the Libyan society, as it represents identity and belonging for the Libyans, given that it played a positive role during the occupation period, and its role then oscillated between employment and marginalization, positive and negative, according to the regime's insights.

Thus, the tribal alliance forms the axis of the political system, relying on the sheikhs and notables of the tribes in implementing political agendas and orbing popular anger.

On the other hand, the consolidation of tribal thought in the Libyan societal and political mentality played a vital role in defining the political map and disrupting the project of building a state with civil institutions that respond to the requirements of the modern state.

Thus, Libya constituted a touristic ground for international and regional attraction, which turned Libya into an arena of competition and exchange of roles, as required by the economic interest in the first place
