The era of globalization has been associated with the emergence cultural alienation, which is a cultural crisis that a society lives in a certain historical period and has many risks to the cohesion of society.

therefore, this research paper aims to present a theoretical approach to this phenomenon by identifying its manifestations, the theories explaining it and the mechanisms for facing it and we reached through analytical readings, this phenomenon is described as a cultural crisis in society, it emerges through aspects such as social disintegration and the spread of non-normative aspects.

therefore, many scientific theories sought to explain them such as theories (conflict between higher culture and mass culture, cultural hegemony, a clash of civilizations) , and perhaps the most important mechanisms for confronting them are to restore positive communication between social and political elites on the one hand and between the elite and the general population of the masses, taking care of socialization to establish cultural immunity for new generations
