The study aims to identify the role of educational institutions in the prevention of drug addiction.

the descriptive approach was followed in the study and a questionnaire was prepared for a sample of 109 secondary school students.

the results of the study concluded that the educational institution has a major role in the prevention of drug addiction by activating the role of the natural sciences class, the Islamic education class, the educational advisor and the administrative staff in the institution, in addition to activating the role of the students' families.
