In the context of seeking to create a supportive environment for investment projects, especially emerging enterprises and small and medium enterprises; the Algerian legislator has adopted a new financing method, which is investment capital financing, which is practically practiced by companies called venture capital companies.

although the Algerian legislator acknowledged that the investment capital company is a joint-stock company in terms of its legal form, it singled out for it- and for certain considerations- special provisions other than those usual for the joint-stock company.

the following is an indication of the manifestations of the Algerian legislator's departure from the general rules of the shareholding company in the establishment of the investment capital company.
