Poetic heritage material in the main modern dictionaries, such as the grand lexicon and the historical lexicon, is an authentic part of the nation's civilized and scientific credit.

therefore, it is of utmost significance that the modern reader is exposed to these texts in their correct, clear complete and precise forms.

these four criteria are discussed in this paper as they are true problems facing the modern Arabic lexicographic work in its poetic heritage resource.

first of these problems is the indexing in poetry Diwans.

second are the errors in explications of the Diwan poetry.

in addition, there are errors in the narration of poetry resulting from correction or the delusion of the fracture of rhythm, the lack of revision and auditing which leads to the loss of some poems, pages or multiple narratives.

finally, is the problem in auditing texts, such as the multitude of poetic heritage still unaudited and unpublished, the abundance of poetic heritage not explicated and the discrepancy in the precision and scientific integrity of the auditing process.
