Law 06-01 on the prevention and fight against corruption promotes preventive and proactive measures rather than deterrents.

because prevention helps to reduce the number of cases referred to the justice system and reduces the enormous financial burden and losses for the public treasury.

but the way of prevention does not succeed in reducing completely the crimes of corruption, and that is why law 06-01 opens the access to the repressive intervention specific to the general provisions defining the scope of personal application and to the specialized judicial bodies competent to examine it, as well as to special investigation techniques and offenses and sanctions as well as the freezing, seizure and confiscation of funds used in connection with these offenses and the recovery of funds obtained illegally, whether or not they are transferred abroad.
