Abstract EN

This contribution aims to analyze the "Jafra" poetic collection by Azedine el Menasra from an interpretive perspective.

it focuses on the duality of death and exile.

exile is seen as a restriction or an obliteration of identity, thus existence becomes death and nothingness to the point that el Menasra finds no refuge except language considered as an aesthetic emotion that translates the poet’s life experience.

this research and the corpus were selected because of the strong relation with the poetic experience of el Menasra.

it is an attempt to explore symbols and illuminations spread all over the collection to set dualities hidden there.
