This research paper seeks to study the petition for oversight as one of the mechanisms constitutionally empowered to parliament to control government actions.

especially in light of the new provision of the 2020 constitutional amendment regarding this mechanism; in order to activate it and ensure that it practiced according to what is believed from it, since given the importance of the petitioner oversight on the work of the government and the political effects arising from it, rationalizing it in a way that guarantees its effectiveness and the same time not to overdo it requires the establishment of a legal system for it in a tight, parallel and balanced manner between these two considerations.
