apart from the fact that the previous Algerian constitutions gave the most extraordinary change in the 2020 constitution and a new idea of two different constitutional terms, the prime minister and the head of government, the former is appointed if the legislative elections give a presidential majority and the government's action plan is prepared to implement the programme of the president of the republic.

the second is appointed if the legislative elections give a parliamentary majority that will allow for the implementation of its programme and, so through this research we aim to highlight the most important developments in this regard and highlight how the constitutional foundation of this oversight mechanism addresses its procedures and implications.
