This study examined one of the most influential theories in the science of biblical criticism, documentary hypothesis, this study showed how this theory was formed by the French physician Jean Astruc.

who wanted to stand up for all the criticism which claim that the Torah wasn't dictated to Moses by god, but for Astruc he wrote it based on various sources, furthermore the study revealed the foundations that the French physician began with, also the evidences he gave and the methods he used to reorganized the genesis based on these sources.
