The legislative function is one of parliaments tasks all political systems including Algeria, due to the application of the principle of separation between authorities which states the independence of each authority in performing its tasks with an equation between all of the; through cooperation and censorship especially between executive and legislative authority.

the Algerian constitution grants the president of the republic the power to legislate by orders, under the Algerian constitutional amendment of 2020 the system of legislation was maintained by orders, with the emphasis on the undisputed acquisition of this power by the president of republic, this necessitates the need for a set of conditions a set of procedures and the supervision of several bodies, especially the subordination of orders to the oversight of the constitutional court and parliament.
