The public lawsuit is a group of judicial procedures defined by the law, where the indictment stage is the first stage of the public lawsuit, and it is initiated by the public prosecution, according to the original, as it is the accusing authority, however, corruption crimes knew a specificity related to the public lawsuit within the framework of this stage, by restricting the authority and freedom of the public prosecution through a procedure that deviates from the framework of the accepted rules, this procedure basically consists in the necessity of obtaining prior approval in order to complete the remaining stages of the public lawsuit or if it is not feasible to proceed with it.

the legislator has introduced, within the law on prevention and combating corruption and the law of criminal procedures as well, special procedures, including what is related to the investigation of corruption crimes that were not known before, and also the extent to which local jurisdiction can be expanded by establishing courts with expanded jurisdiction
