The name Tamntit was present in the Algerian novel, with what it represented of a historical and strategic momentum, for being the meeting place for commercial caravans on the one side, and for being a scientific metropolis on the other side, and as a city in which many races, and religions lived, it was subjected to a shock after witnessing a stampede and clash between imam al-Maghili and the Jews, this issue it constituted background for many novelists (al-Sayeh, Daif Allah, al-Zawi) to discuss a thorny dilemma related to the ego and otherness, while the novelist al-saeed boutagine chose to invest in the geographical and human aspects away from history and its traps.

in this research, I try to talk about the symbolic presence of the city of Tamntit in the Algerian novel through an important novel in contemporary Algerian literature, which is the novel (Aaoudo bi Allah) by the novelist said Boutadjine, in which he highlighted many semiotic scenes that constitute the social, cultural and geographical structure of the Touat region and its capital, Tamtit.
