Abstract EN

This paper aims to study the relationship of translation with discourse analysis, by which the translator try to reveal and convey texts meanings.

since translation process occurs through understanding, the interpretation of meaning remains relative and dependent upon the translator's analytical, linguistic, cultural and cognitive skills.

however, good translations rely on the original and target texts equivalence in terms of senses, even if the translator adequate them for a purpose.

therefore, meaning is a problematic issue for any translator worried about understanding the original text meaning to reproduce in the target text.

in this perspective, we want to track the discourse analysis path, to look for what meaning is, what is its concept.
