Abstract EN

This research aimd to highlight the role of strategic vigilance in achieving the competitive advantage of the Yemeni universities.

The research used the descriptive analytical approach ،where the ideas about strategic vigilance were extrapolated.

Crises ،and the creation and management of change in the heart of higher education institutions ،enabling them to choose the right decision ،bring about appropriate change ،attention to customers and gain loyalty ،which enhances the competitiveness of the institution and improves the speed of its response and adaptation to the developments of the times.

The research concluded with a number of recommendations ،the most important of which is the availability of the conviction and desire of Yemeni universities to activate the strategic awakening to achieve a competitive advantage ،the necessity of the availability of qualified financial and human resources and ongoing training and qualification in accordance with the requirements of environmental changes ،and rebuilding the organizational structure to ensure the vision of the strategic vigilance system as one of the active configurations ،And help in the flow of information between representatives of vigilance and strategic decision makers ،in addition to amending and developing legislations and laws in a manner consistent with achieving competitive advantage of the Yemeni universities
