Abstract EN

The study has aimed to address the role of technological advancement in the application of management of knowledge in the Libyan commercial banks in the domain of Qasr Alkhyar Municipality, via studying the following dimensions: advancement of appliances and equipment, advancement of communication networks and advancement of software.

The study has followed the descriptive analytical methodology and it relied on a questionnaire that has been developed based on previous studies.

Its credibility was affirmed (Stability factor).

Then, it was distributed on the study's population which consists of all employees (66 employees) in the managerial levels in the commercial banks under investigation.

The comprehensive survey was adopted for all individuals of the community's population.

56 questionnaires valid for statistical analysis were received back.

Using the statistical software, SPSS, the study has found that there is a significant correlation relationship between technological advancement and level of application of management of knowledge.

The study has also found that existence of shortening from the banks with regards of use of technology of information and communications such as e-mail.

The banks under investigation also suffer from lack of use audio-visual information means in transferring and exchange of information among employees.

Results of the study have also shown that the ignorance of management of banks to modernizing and development of the used technology.

The study has represented some recommendations including the necessity of attention of modern technological means in transferring and exchange of information among employees working within the bank and working to use e-mails due to its importance in transferring information.

It is also important to use the modern audio-visual technologies so as to improve the process of information transfer among employees.

The study has also called to work on modernizing the used technology and keeping up with the evolving advancement of appliances and equipment, communication means and software.
