With the fast development of the electronic and digital field, the means of audiovisual production have multiplied to the extent that is difficult to imagine life without TV screens, computers, smart phones or other various digital media that have become our inevitable partners.

The world has become a small screen that reflects all aspects of our social, cognitive, and educational life.

Everything has become linked to technology according to the requirements of the new digital reality, and natural languages are affected as well.

A language that lags behind the technological development based on the digitization of everything dies and effectively may lose opportunities for future survival amidst clashing civilizations.

This technological and digital development has prompted the intensification of efforts to translate these means, as the This paper audiovisual translation has emerged to transmit their content, aims to present the standards to consider while completing the subtitling as one of the most prominent types of audiovisual translation.

The author attempts as much as he can not to produce a purely theoretical work and bring it closer to the daily challenges that the translator faces in reality.

To this end, he focuses on the previous data as determined by theorists in this field, on some proposals stemming from her academic teaching, and on her experience during professional practice.
