Arab linguists have studied the simplicity and composition of letters since ancient times.

They defined the simple letter like that.

It is the letter naturally found in Arabic and had no conditions in which was formed.

It did not develop with the development of the language.

As for the compound letter.it is the letter that was formed by the factors of linguistic development that happens in all human languages.

It may have two letters in its origin and then subjected to the factors of deletion and merging.

These factors resulted in a letter that is used by the native speaker of the language.

This research studies the dissension of grammarians and linguists in those subjects, which have caused controversy in language and grammar books since ancient times.
