Abstract EN

The study aimed to reveal the relationship between strategic improvisation and the quality of administrative decisions among academic leaders at the University of Tabuk, and to reveal the differences between the responses of the sample members, according to the variables (gender, specialization, nature of work, academic rank).the descriptive approach (survey, correlative), and questionnaire were used as a tool for the study, and the study population consisted of all academic leaders and faculty members at tabuk university, who numbered (1839), (391) of them were selected as a sample for the study.

the results showed that the degree to which academic leaders at the university of tabuk practiced strategic improvisation in general and in all dimensions (intuition, innovation, adaptation, opportunity, awareness of risks) was medium, and that the level of quality of administrative decisions taken by academic leaders at the university of tabuk was medium.the results of the study showed that there was a strong (direct) and statistically significant correlation at the significance level (α = 0.05) between academic leaders’ practice of strategic improvisation in its five dimensions, and the quality level of administrative decisions.the results also showed that there were statistically significant differences at the significance level (α = 0.05) between the responses of the sample members about the quality of administrative decisions.
